Lehrman has been teaching Aikido at NY Aikikai since the 1970s. He has also had his own dojo in Park Slope, Brooklyn, New York, since 1976, and many of his original students accompany him to Helsinki for training. At the seminar, you may therefore find yourself paired with a highly skilled training partner. Hal Lehrman holds the rank of 7. dan in Aikikai Aikido, with the status of Shihan.
